How to customize location/position of Monk's widgets?

Depending upon the funnel you have setup & the theme you're using there are multiple ways to edit the position of a widget.

If you're setting up a funnel on the product page (Offer Type = Cross Sell or Volume Discount or Frequently Bought Together) or checkout page (Only for Shopify Plus stores) and your theme is compatible with Shopify OS 2.0 you can edit your theme settings to add a Monk app block and customize it's position from within your theme editor. Here are the steps to do so:

The below mentioned points outline the steps to change widget position on the Product page-

Go to Online Store in your Shopify admin and click on Customize theme.

Under Product Information select 'Add block' and select the Monk app block as per the offer type you're trying to setup

How to add custom CSS?

Step 1: Go to Online Store --> Themes --> Click on Customize next to the theme that you want to make the changes to

What happens in case of overlap of funnels? How is priority order of funnels decided?

With Monk you can set-up different kinds of funnels based on various parameters like trigger product/collection, product or cart page, type of offer etc - hence there is a possibility that sometimes two or more funnels might overlap on the same trigger product/collection.

Overlap is caused when 2 or more funnels have the exact same Offer Type, Display Type, Display Page & are set to trigger on the same range of trigger products/collections or cart values. In such cases, the funnel with the lower number # id will take priority and only that funnel & it's widget/popup will be visible to your customers.
This means that if funnels #2, #3 and #5 have the same Offer Type, Display Type and Display Page & overlap on 1 particular product - only the offer from funnel #2 will show up. This is done to ensure your buyers have a seamless and uninterrupted user experience without too many popups or widgets hampering their buying journey.

Example:

Let's assume you're selling a pair of shoes and you create 5 funnels inside the app:
Funnel 1 - cart cross sell widget that displays inside your theme's native cart page/drawer when the buyer clicks on 'add to cart' - offering 25% discount on a pair of socks
Funnel 2 - cart cross sell widget that displays inside your theme's native cart page/drawer when the buyer clicks on 'add to cart' - offering 50% discount on shoe poli

How to give customers option to choose a free gift along with a progress bar in the cart?

This doc is a guide on how you can set up two funnels that work simultaneously: Free Gift (manual selection) and Cart Value Progress Bar. This is so that on reaching a milestone your customers can select a gift of their choice. In order to help you better understand the document, examples from our internal demo store have been outlined throughout - find below a visual reference of what this will look like once the set-up is complete:

Go to the Funnels tab on Monk app --> click on Create New Funnel, this will take you to a page with all the different offer types and their video descriptions. From the list, select Free Gift Selection --> click on Create Now

Setup the funnel as per the cart value rules you have in mind. This will display an embedded widget on your theme's native cart page/drawer with the gift options you choose on Page 2 of the funnel settings.

For the purpose of this example, we wish to allow our customers to be eligible for a free gift and choose one from 2 available options at cart value>4000.

Does Monk work with discount codes? (installed before 13th June 2023)

Due to some inherent Shopify restrictions, stacking of upsell/cross sell/free gift discounts (app discounts) with code discounts (on checkout) is not possible. This creates a broken user experience for customers who have a discount code handy and wish to make use of it. Especially if these are customers who got their discount code from an abandoned cart email/SMS flow or got it for a positive action like leaving a review. The broken user experience leads to a poor brand experience which is undesirable.

Hence, at Monk we've successfully built a workaround for this that collects the discount code on the cart step itself and stacks the app discount and code discount together on checkout.

You can customize the colors and text of the discount code widget to match your theme's design. Attached below are screenshots of what it looks like on desktop as well as mobile.

To enable this discount code compatibility for your store - please reach out to us via chat or email support and share 2-3 of your most commonly used codes. We shall take a quick look at your store & enable it manually from our backend.

Will this widget show if the customer does not add anything from a Monk funnel to cart?
No. In that case the customer will be able to add a discount code on checkout page in the usual way. The discount code widget will show at the cart only when an additional discount via the app

This pricing is valid only for merchants that installed the app after 15th Feb, 2023 but before Nov 30th, 2023

What is Monk's pricing?

Pricing is based on the total number of orders your store processes within the 30 day billing cycle. As your store scales, the amount of revenue generated due to the app also increases. Pay as your brand grows!

How is a billing cycle calculated?

A billing cycle is 30 days long & it starts one day after your free trial ends. You will not be charged if you uninstall the app before the end of your trial period. A charge will be made on the 1st day of every billing cycle based on the total number of orders processed by your store in the previous 30 days.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To pause billing you will have to uninstall the app from the apps section of your Shopify admin dashboard. You will be charged a monthly fee as long as the app is installed on the store irrespective of it being enabled/disabled.
