What is the difference between 'Match Any' & 'Match All' eligiblity rules?

Match Any and Match All are two rule options available within the Specific Product eligibility rule in the Monk's Free gift auto add and Free gift selection offer. Refer to this guide to set up a BOGO gift offer.

These options apply only when 'Specific Product' is selected and does not affect any other rules. To understand all eligibility rules in details, please refer to this document

Match Any

The free gift is triggered when any one of the selected products is added to the cart.

How it works:

  • You select multiple specific products in the offer setup.
  • If the customer adds at least one of those products, the gift will be added.
  • This option does not follow an “AND” condition.

Example:

If Products A, B, and C are selected under Specific Product →

Adding A OR B OR C will trigger the free gift.

This option does not support logic like: Buy A AND B → Get C as a gift.

Match All

The free gift is triggered only when the customer adds all selected products (or the defined product combination) to the cart.

How it works:

  • You select specific products in the offer setup.
  • The customer must add every selected product to qualify.
  • This follows an “AND” condition.
  • You can define the quantity of each product that the customer must add to qualify.

Example:

If Products A and B are selected →

The customer must add A AND B to receive the free gift.

Buy A and B, Get C

To give the customer a gift on purchasing a specific set of products (in this case, A and B), you will have to use Match All eligibility rule and select the product as shown in the screenshot. The gift product (in this case- Product C) should be selected in the 'Gift Products' section on the same page.

Buy 2A or 2B, Get C

To give the customers a gift on purchasing any 2 products from a group of products or collection, you will have to use 'Match Any' eligibility rule and select the products as shown below in the screenshot. The gift product (in this case- Product C) should be selected in the 'Gift Products' section on the same page.

Please note that this setup will also allow customers to get a gift if they have 1 quantity of each A and B in cart as it satisfies the eligibility of count of items in cart.
