How to combine two offers of the same type at checkout? (Shopify Plus only)

The app offers various type of offers like Free Gift (Auto Add or Selection), Cross-Sell, Cart Progress Bar, etc. at checkout and this doc is a guide on how to display 2 offers of the same type at checkout using Monk (combining different type of offers does not require any additional setup, it is set to combine by default)

How to set it up?


Let’s assume we want 2 Free Gift Auto Add offers to run simultaneously on the checkout page. Here are the steps -


  1. For checkout page offers, an app block needs to be added at checkout in your Online Store. Since we want to combine two offers, we will have to add 2 app blocks.


Go to online store> Themes> Customize.



Open checkout page> Add 2 app blocks of Free Gift Auto Add.



Please refer to this article to see which app block corresponds to each offer you have set up.


  1. Once you have set up both the Free Gift Auto Add offers in Monk, a section of ‘Combinations’ should appear on Step 1 of both the offers. Please make sure to enable this setting in both the offers. Once enabled, a widget ID will be shown in both the offers.



  1. Copy the above Widget ID from Free Gift T-Shirt and paste it in the Free Gift Auto Add app block added on the checkout page in the theme editor.


To add the widget ID- Click on the app block> Widget ID.



  1. Repeat Step 3- Copy the Widget ID from Free Gift Cap offer and add it in a separate Free Gift Auto Add app block on the checkout page.



In the end, you should have two app blocks on checkout page with widget IDs from both the offers added separately.



Note- If you do not see any widget ID on enabling the Combinations setting in your offer, leave the widget ID field in app block settings as empty.
